Interpolitan Money

Personal brand workshop for the ASCEND cohort

Sector

Cross-border payments & financial services

Interpolitan Money's ASCEND programme develops its next cohort of commercial and sales talent. Dan ran a practical, hands-on workshop on personal brand and LinkedIn for the cohort, getting each person clear on how they show up, why it matters commercially, and what to change first. Participants were editing and improving their profiles before the session had finished.

The challenge

Interpolitan Money's ASCEND programme was bringing a new cohort of commercial and sales talent together, and the team wanted them showing up consistently and credibly in front of clients and prospects.

Most of the group knew LinkedIn mattered but had never been shown how to use it deliberately, or how an individual profile connects to commercial results.

What I did

Dan ran a hands-on session on the power of personal brand and LinkedIn, built around the cohort's real roles and audiences rather than generic theory.

The group worked through how they currently come across, what a strong profile looks like for a commercial team, and the specific changes that would make the biggest difference.

The final part of the session was working time: everyone editing their own profile there and then, with feedback in the room.

The impact

Profiles were already being reworked and improved before the session finished, with several of the team writing their first posts straight after.

The cohort left with a shared understanding of why personal brand matters commercially, and a concrete list of next steps to keep going.

Interpolitan is now looking at rolling the session out more widely across the business.

An excellent, practical and thought-provoking session on the power of personal brand and LinkedIn. Great to see the team interacting and taking action immediately, profiles were already evolving and improving before we finished.

Andrew Ward, Director, Ward Growth Partners

The feedback from the team has been overwhelmingly positive, engaging, practical and, most importantly, immediately actionable. Thank you for the time you invested in making the session interactive rather than simply presenting. Having the team review and critique their own profiles live worked brilliantly and gave everyone confidence to make meaningful improvements straight away. There is a real opportunity to build confidence and consistency across the business, and this session has laid a great foundation.
